Decorating Nozzles

As i said in the "Baking tools" page, i recommend buying nozzles separately and not in sets, mainly because you end up using one two nozzles and all the other nozzles are thrown away or just sitting in your drawer.. (from experience). The different nozzles creating pretty shapes that you pipe on your cake\cupcake and what ever you want, i recommend buying nozzles from Wilton\Ateco company.

For the classic swirl there are four nozzles that i think are perfect.

The open star nozzle- Wilton 1M. Its fit to any event, for boys and girls and its the classic swirl for me.

Round Nozzles

The round nozzle- Ateco 806/807/808/809. The bigger the better, every big round nozzle will fit, it doesn't have to be Ateco.


the closed star tip- 2D Wilton. it is like the 1M tip but more ruffly-girly, in addition this tip also makes pretty rosettes-flowers.

French nozzles by Ateco

The french tip -6b or 8b Wilton are great. Ateco 867\868\869 are great also. I love those nozzles, they look really amazing on cupcakes.

Decorating nozzles for cakes

border nozzles

21/22 Wilton tip- my personally favorite tip for the cake border. 21 and 22 is very similar but the 22 tip is a bit bigger, both is the perfect size for the border.  

32 Wilton tip- this is a really pretty for the nozzle border, however its bigger then the 22 so it will fit for bigger cakes. Its less star shape and more shell shape.

199 Wilton tip- very elegant shape, really shell like and more suitable for side border.

Side decorations nozzles

104 Wilton tip- this tip is perfect for easy cake decoration on the sides of the cake.

Any round tip (medium\large size preferred) 2A\1A wilton tip or 805\806 Ateco. This is probably the easiest way to pipe on the side of the cake and it looks so pretty.

Figure piping on a cake

13/14 Wilton tip- for making a figure on cake.

 The minion figure is with 13 nozzle figure.

Nozzles you make flowers with them- for cupcakes or cakes

101\102\103\104 Wilton tip for small\medium size, depends which size of flowers you want. 124\125 Wilton tips are for medium sized- large flowers.

127\127D Wilton tip for large flowers.

Those shape of nozzles can create beautiful roses hydrangea flowers and much more.

81 Wilton tip and 401\402\403 Ateco tips are for chrysanthemum flowers.
